about me

Whose words are you reading, and whose pictures have you been checking out? Well, I’m a father of two young daughters, hotelier to two cats, and more importantly, a documentary wedding photographer based in both Hampshire and London.
A few years ago, I made the decision to leave my commercial roles in the automotive and travel sectors, and instead, follow my passion for photography. As is often the case for newly professional photographers, nudges from friends and family in conjunction with something approaching a mid-life crisis (joking, totally not joking) were the final straw. Learning with leading wedding photography institutions followed, as did working with some of the UK’s best photographers, assisting, second shooting and training more formally. So if you’re considering me as your documentary wedding photographer, you can be confident that I trained under the best.
These days, I’m driven by a sincere desire to create something for my clients, and to deliver an experience that resonates with them; for them.
I’m not precious about genres of photography but I guess you’d characterise me as a documentary wedding photographer, because I like my imagery and therefore my couples, to be natural and relaxed, not contrived.
The joy of running your own business, and of being your own boss in a creative field, is that you get to make the rules, and you’ll see one mantra dotted throughout my website. And this is my one rule: be, above everything else, authentic. That rule applies to my work; but it also applies to how I choose to operate and live my life. These days, I’m not very good at pretending, and I’ll never ask my clients to do so on my behalf in the pursuit of capturing a great image.
If you’re considering me as your wedding photographer and want to know why you should choose me, then either read the ‘Why Choose Me?’ linked below, or better still, click below to schedule a no-commitment, WhatsApp video call so we can talk through your plans in as much detail as you’d like.
I care about telling the story of your wedding day in a way that is natural, and above everything else, authentic. The truth is that I love capturing the real person in an image. And, there’s no better crucible for capturing people’s unchecked emotions, than their wedding.
